The Samuel H. Kress Foundation sponsors five scholarships to support attendance at SEI 2014. We are grateful to the Kress Foundation for its ongoing support of this valuable educational opportunity.

Chapter Travel Awards
VRA Midwest Chapter Award – JUST ANNOUNCED!
The VRA Midwest Chapter is pleased to announce their sponsorship of a SEI 2014 scholarship to support chapter members’ professional development. The chapter will award $500 to provide support for a current VRA Midwest member to attend SEI 2014 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, June 10-13, 2014. Interested applicants should submit an application by Friday, May 16, 2014. The award recipient will be notified by May 20.
All current VRA Midwest Chapter members are eligible to apply. The award will be granted based on a) financial need, b) description of the applicant’s background and career path, including areas of academic concentration and training, and c) description of how the SEI curriculum will help the applicant succeed or advance.

VRA Northeast Chapter Professional Development Award
Congratulations to Annie Sollinger, Digital Image Metadata Librarian in the Digital Image Collection at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, the 2014 recipient of the VRA Northeast Professional Development Award, which she will use for SEI this summer. Thank you to the NE Chapter for this support of Annie.
VRA Southern California Chapter Travel Award
The VRA Southern California Chapter offers a travel award to help offset the costs of attending SEI 2014 to chapter members.
Congratulations to Jungeun Hong, a new member of VRA and current UCLA student, the 2014 recipient of the Southern California Chapter Travel Award! Thank you to the SC Chapter for this terrific support for Jungeon.
ARLIS/NA Midstates Chapter Travel Award - JUST ANNOUNCED!
The ARLIS/NA Midstates Chapter offers a travel award of $300 for chapter members to help offset the costs of attending SEI 2014. To apply for the award, submit a letter of application including relevant criteria and how you will benefit from attending SEI 2014. Indicate any funding you may be receiving from your institution and include a current resume or CV. Send applications via email to Viveca Pattison Robichaud (vivecarobichaud at nd.edu), Marsha Stevenson (stevenson.3 at nd.edu) or Sara Stigbert (s-stigberg at northwestern.edu). Applications received by May 14 will receive first consideration.
